Town Hall meeting in Plainfield

Saturday was fantastic!!! No other word... simply fantastic! We were 3 of the lucky 2000 people who got tickets to see Senator Barack Obama speaking in Plainfield. What a speaker! He worked the crowd. He addressed the issue surounding his "former" pastor. ..all with such eloquence. We got there, found seats we were comfortable in, and about 45 minutes later the senator came out. He spoke for about 20 minutes, then took questions from the crowd for about an hour. EVERY SINGLE QUESTION was handled with ease. He answered them completly, and with a respectful manner. Frazier, my 9 year old son, even paid attention the entire time. Frazier applauded from time to time along with the crowd...although I doubt he knew why. LOL It was an experience I will never forget. I don't care who you support in this election, it's an exciting thought to think we got to see in person, and listen to a man who very well could be our next president!!!

I took several pictures. Some of them are in a new photo album here.

This is a memory I am putting in the vault along with the time I heard Martin Luther King Sr. speak at an Easter sunrise service. VERY VERY COOL!!!

I don't want to post my political views on here, but the candidates can tell me what they intend to do. Tell me how they intend to do it, and I may have some faith(or not!!!).

How cool! I'm excited for you. I once had breakfast with Barry Manilow. I think I'll practice keeping my big mouth shut and not offer any opinions on the candidates....

I met Fred Thompson at a Colts game this past season...yes really...lol I also met Dan Quayle and bought his book, which he autographed in 1994. It was a thrill to meet both of these great men.

Im a Republican. But, I will be voting Dem in the primary. That way I can vote against that obnoxious person aka Hillary. But, will vote for McCain in the fall unless something big happens and changes my mind.

Alwasys a great experience to see a leader speak. I remember going to Columbus Ohio, with my high school band, and playing at the inauguration of then Governor Richard Celeste and he was a great speaker will never forget it. I am Democrat and no matter who gets the nomination I am for them 100%.

You heard MLK speak?? Wow! Anyway, about Obama, I watched the live stream from WTHR for a while, and I thought he did a wonderful job! I hope he comes back to Indiana, only next time to a larger venue so I can go, too. I saw on the news Hillary is also coming to Indiana this week, and McCain came here recently, too. It's nice, regardless of who you support, that Indiana is finally getting some attention from ALL of the candidates!
