Some of my most favorite jokes are the animal walks in to a bar ones. Yesterday I heard one I hadn't before. I'm sure it's been around for a while because I heard it while watching an episode of South Park. Sooo I decided to see how many of them I could remember. ENJOY!!!! What are some you remember???
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A pony and an eagle walk in to a bar. They walk up to the bartender. The pony asks the bartender to yell at the eagle because he was mad at him. The bartender asked "Why don't you do it yourself?" The pony said "because I'm a little horse!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A horse walks in to a bar, walks up to the bartender...the bartender says "Why the loooong face?"
A fish walks in to a bar, walks up to the bartender, the bartender asked "What can I get ya?" The fish says "w w water!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A string walks in to a bar, walks up the the bartender, the bartender says "I'm sorry, but we do not serve strings in here." The string walks out. While outside he ties himself in a knot and messes up his hair. The string walks back in to the bar and the bartender says "I told you buddy, I don't serve strings in here!" The string says "I'm a frayed knot!"
Talk about great speeeeedy service... In my last blog post I told you guys about the airconditioning and furnace getting hit with lightening. (THANKS to all who commented.) Get this...the claim was filed and the insurance has said they are going to replace the entire system! Matter of fact the check is being printed today, and will be in tomorrow's mail! The guys are here right now doing the work. We should have the new system up and running by tonight!!! Looks like all we have to pay is the $500 deductable. I am so impressed by our homeowners insurance, and the guys doing the work. Talk about your speedy service. It could have been much worse. It could have been August and humid. I could have been hit since I was right there. Instead it's low humidity, mild temps, and I was standing in just the right spot to be missed. I am so greatful that things have gone so smoothly this last week and a half. Frazier's congestion was getting sooo bad that I did take him to the doc on Friday. It is most definately allergies like his mom. The doctor said to try Alevert which has recently been changed from prescription to over the counter. So far so good. It seems to really be helping Frazier. I think once the new system has been running for a day or two, and the stuff that's worked it's way in to the house since we've had our windows open is out.... it will be even better.
Have a great week.....
LIGHTENING STRIKES
Thank goodness this week the temps have been down, and so has the humidity. This past weekend, I think it was Saturday night, there was another storm. Way bad lightening. I was out in the garage when it struck just outside the garage. The ground shook. I even screemed. The power went out too. After the power came back on our air didn't. Monday dh called a guy that came out and said some board was fried, and it was probably because of the lightening strike. To be sure he ordered a new one, came out yesterday and put it in. It blew, and didn't fix a thing. He got to looking at the furnace and told us the board in it was a gonner too, and that the transformer was fried as well. Looks like the lightening killed our air conditioning unit, and furnace...and will have to be replaced. Hopefully the homeowners ins will cover it cause that's an expensive thing to replace. Sooooo for the last few days we have had no air. The windows are open, and fans on. THANK GOODNESS the temps haven't been to bad, and the humidity has been low. It did get a little stuffy last night though. My eye allergies and congestion are the worst of it. Poor ds has been having a tough time breathing too. Who knows when the homeowners guys will do whatever they are going to do so we can get this all replaced. I hope it's quickly, but we'll see. I'm not complaining though, it sure could be worse. It could be August and 95 degrees outside. It could have been the house and not the air unit outside that got hit.... so we are just fine. In the mean time the windows are open, fans are on...and the blinds stay shut to block out some sun.
I finally did it. That thing we all say will never happen as we get older. The last few times I've been asked about my birthday, I say I'm 42...going to be 43 in September. Well I got to thinking, I was born in 1964. This is 2008. That's an even number. How would I be 43, and odd number, this year. I'm not 42 going on 43...I"M 43 going on 44 this year. EEEK! I actually did that thing I didn't think would happen. The oldtimers is kicking in!!! LOL
