HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
I had a great birthday yesterday. Thank you all so much for the wonderful birthday wishes that were left on my profile page. It was sooooo fantastic to see all that this morning. Sometimes my profile page gets lonely for comments! LOL You all made my heart so happy. THANK YOU to Clove700 for keeping the list of MyCOLTS birthday's and sending the message each week. It really helped make my day special.
Yesterday was a GREAT birthday! My son sang to me. Dh came home at lunchtime and we went to a movie...in the middle of the day...in the middle of the week! That's not something we do. The movie we saw was Mirrors with Kiefer Sutherland. It was a pretty good spooky flick. The ending was a little off for my taste. But Kiefer did a great job. I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars. I got some cool COLTS stuff as gifts, and will post photos later. It's a definate plus having a September 17th birthday when you're a football fan! I will post some photos later. Right now it's back to business. Grass to mow, laundry to do... I look forward to another day off in 364 more days!

The Alkaseltzer game

First let me start this blog by saying..... WHEW!
* COLTS WIN COLTS WIN COLTS WIN! *
I'm calling this one the Alkaseltzer game because just like that plop plop, the end of this game has me sayin "OH WHAT A RELIEF IT IS!" For all of the first half it was the Vikings. They were on us like Canderson55's finger is in the one possition. I don't get how the COLTS stayed in this game like they did. It should have been a blow out. But they did stay in it, they hung on and didn't give up. Like the Energizer bunny they just kept on going...and boy were they rewarded big time. Late in the 3rd quarter Peyton threw a hail marry to Gonzo, who quickly lateraled to Reggie Wayne..and like that the ball was on the 1 yard line. It was a most awesome play. Do you think that lateral was planned? Part of me sure does. Reggie was right there. Another shocker was a missed field goal by Adam V.... The 4th quarter was all COLTS! Somehow, some way...they did it. When there was no running game, they went for a 2 point conversion to tie...and BOOM...it was a new ball game. With only seconds left number 4 redeemed himself by making a game winner! My heart was racing. I think Gordon thought I was nuts the way I was jumping and screaming. It was as if we had won the super bowl all over again! I love a good game, but man oh man... If I had a weak heart I'd be in the Emergency room right now. That was something to remember.
Now on to next Sunday in Lucas Oil against Jacksonville. Lets beat those Jags big time.

COLTS vs. da Bears

Well...what do you say about last Sunday's game against the Bears. I was so dissappointed by the outcome that I haven't been on MyCOLTS since Sunday.
For me the highlight of the game was the first Peyton to Marvin connection. It was fantastic to see those two together again. Pretty much the rest of the game stunk like bad cheese. There were a few good moments, but very few. Our boys in blue just weren't with it. On the good side that first loss is done and behind us. We don't have to hear the sports guys speculating on how many they will win before they lose. Now the rest of the season is ahead of us. I'm sure that after last Sunday's game against the Bears, our boys are working extra hard to improve and have a MUCH better outcome this weekend against the Vikings. I do want to say that the Bears just played better. They wanted the win more than our guys did, and they got it. Congrats to them. I really didn't expect them to play so well. I am looking forward to a fantastic COLTS rest of the season. GREAT things are ahead for us all! It looks like Jeff Saturday will be back sooner over later. He is due to practice with the team this week. Dallas Clark was injured in the Bears game and will likely miss some gametime.
In other injury news.... Tom Brady was injured in the Patriots game last weekend, and will be out for the rest of the season. WE all want him to have an off game...but this. As NFL fans, not just COLTS fans, we have to feel for him, the team, and their fans. Heck, we have to feel for the game of football. It will not be the same this season without Tom Brady playing. It will not be the same beating the Patriots without him at the lead. I wish him a speedy recovery.
...now on to next week. GO COLTS! KICK SOME MAJOR BUTT!!! BEAT THOSE VIKINGS!!!
