I just finished making a COLTS fly swatter. It's way cool! ...at least I think so. The pattern was designed by a friend. It was a fun project to make. It's actually a fly swatter cover. You put a swatter inside it and tie it to the handle with yarn or ribbon. I plan on making a few of these, and maybe putting them on ebay or something. There is a photo in my homemade COLTS album if you care to take a look see..

Recently I have gotten back in to doing plastic canvas. I haven't done a dishcloth in weeks. Anyway, someone I know was looking for test stitchers to work some sports themed patterns. All I had to do was tell her my favorite team. Well of course I emailed her, and told her I'm all about the COLTS. She sent me a pattern for a COLTS tissue box cover. Check out the photo in the handmade COLTS photo album. I LOVE IT. I'm so looking forward to the next COLTS pattern she sends me. I'm going to do my entire desk area with COLTSie stuff.

COLTS bear / COLTS calendar

My son asked me to knit him a bear in COLTS blue... so I came up with a really cute pattern. You can see a picture of him in the Homemade COLTS photo album. If you are interested in making one for yourself...get a pair of size 7 knitting needles, and some COLTS blue yarn. The pattern is kind of long, so just message me, and I will gladly send it to you.
I also made this really cute COLTS calendar this week. Very simple to do. At most office supply stores you can buy these little magnet calendars that business cards stick too. My husband puts these in his yearly Christmas mailer. I kept a few back, and made this little business card sized COLTS tag to stick on it. VERY CUTE! Now my fridge will have COLTS on it all year! There is also a picture of the magnet in the Homemade COLTS album.

COLTS no sew pillow

After yesterday's squeeker win...I finished up my no sew COLTS pillow. NO SEWING EXPERIENCE NEEDED Here is how I did it...
You only need a few supplies... 1 yard of COLTS flanel material, an 18" pillow form, and a pair of sizzors, and a small ruller.
First you need to cut two 25" squares of the material.
Next you will need to cut a 5" square out of each corner. (see picture below)
You will then take your ruller and measure 15 1" sections on each flap. After you have all 14 marks, you will then cut the fringe. 15 1" wide by 5" long pieces of fringe. (see picture below)
Put one side face down, lay the pillow form center on top, then lay other piece of material face up. Begin to tie the fring pieces in a knot (one side to the other side)..be careful, make sure you are using the right coresponding fringe pieces or your pillow will not come out quite right.
You can adjust the size of your fringe by cutting fewer, or more, pieces in each flap...but be sure to use the same number of fringe pieces on each side. I've also made one of these by using one side in solid blue, the other solid white. Or have one side with the COLTS print, and the other in a solid. Just have fun with it. The possabilities are endless.
There is a picture of my finished pillow in the homemade COLTS photo album.
