The files of my youth pastors' kids are now out of MOI!! (I'm not sure what that is, but it is a step in the adoption process that they have been in since January). Now they are waiting on immigration to print new passports for the kids and then once that is done they get Visas issued and then they go get the kids!!

My youth pastors are in the very last steps of the adoption process! Once they get through this step all they have to do is get passports and visas which won't take long at all! We are all so excited!
However, most of the other adoption processes in Haiti have been slowed up. Many of the adoption files are stuck in a step called Parquet, which is basically a judge signing off on the file. This file would make the adoptive parents the child's legal parents in Haiti. However, the man who needs to sign them is refusing to do so. I'm not sure about all the particulars, but he is apparently using the excuse that according to Haitian law, only couples or singles with no biological children can adopt from Haiti. The law hasn't been used in some time, but I don't think Haiti repeals it's laws, so it is technically still valid. Then the problem is, there are some couples and singles with no biological children adopting from Haiti, but he is not signing their files either. Please pray that all these families are able to move forward in their adoption proceses soon!

For the past 2 years my youth pastors have been in the process of adopting three children from an orphanage in Haiti. They originally were adopting only a little boy, Noah, but felt that God was leading them to adopt two sisters as well (Mia and Hope). Well, the adoption process has taken a long time, but the time is getting close!! My youth pastor's wife is leaving for Haiti tomorrow and she will not be back until the kids come home!! I am so excited!! I went on a mission trip to Haiti last summer and got to meet their three children, along with 14 other children who will be coming to live in Southern Indiana!! After my youth pastor's began the adoption process, it had a chain reaction effect! Isn't God amazing?! Well, I was just so excited I had to say something! Please pray that they will not have to wait long to finally unite their family! Also, please pray for my youth pastor...he is left here with the three children they already have! (yes they will have 6 children in total...3 of which are not exactly fluent in English!) And while your at it, just go ahead and pray for those kids, their dad is not the best cook! (my sisters and I will be checking up on them periodically)
They are adopting from Three Angels Orphanage in Port Au Prince, Haiti. If interested in helping out the orphanage or in going on a trip, please visit www.threeangelshaiti.org
