As 2007 draws to an end I want to express how much this site has come to mean to me.  2007 was a year of great change for me, some good, some not so good.  Having this site and all my new friends, many who have become family, has made the challenges manageable.

The year beagn in January with the Colts limping into the playoffs with the worst defense in NFL history.  How was I going to bear another disapointment like the Steerlers debacle of 2006 where I suffered from a deep dark depression till at least mid March.  LOL

Well the first week of the playoffs, much to my surprise, we walloped the Chiefs, totally shutting down their vaunted running game.  WOW, a glimmer of hope.  Maybe we do have a defense, Thank you Bob Sanders.

Next up a trip back to Baltimore to face the vaunted Ravens Defense, and those hateful fans.   I spent that Saturday afternoon at one of the best places to watch a Colts game, The Blue Crew Bar and Grill.  The place was rocking, as was Adam Vinatieri.   Colts Win!! Colts Win!!

The next day proves there reallly is a football God.  The nasty Pats defeat the Chargers so we get the AFC Championship game and a chance to put it to the Pats in OUR house!!

Well just as things are looking up, the Frioday before the AFC Championship game I found out my beloved cat, Hershey has 100% kidney failure.  I am devastated, they want to put her down.  I refused and nursed her for 2 months before she died.  (Turned out it was the poisoned pet food that killed her :( )

Anyway I digress, but the cat story is important because as I am in the dome watching us go down 21-3 I begin to cry uncontrolably.  I have seen this movie before and I know how it ends.  I am just so emotionally distraight over all that had happened, seeeing the Colts lose again was going to be too much.  As the tears continued, I kept repeating to myself, just do what you do, just do what you do, come on Peyton, come on Reggie, do it, do it.  Even as the emotion took over by body, my mind was that the Colts could do it, you see I Believe inBlue, and always will.

Well we all know what happened in the 2nd half, Joe Addai put us ahead with a little less than 2 minutes left and Marlin Jackson sealed the deal with his INT.  Pandemonium in the streets  I was told I weas on 4 different TV newscasts with my "Momkey off his back" sign.  The tears were now tears of joy, we were going to the Super Bowl!!

Because of personal and financial reasons I was unable to make the actual trip to the Super Bowl but with my Blue Coladas, "Blue Sunday" playing nonstop on my computer, all kinds of decorations, It felt like a Super Bowl Party at my house.

Devon Hester returns the openig kick for a TD, Peyton throws and INT,, no big deal, we were going to win this Super Bowl, I never doubted it.  Fast forward of course we won, 29-17!!  That was definitly a highlight of my year.

Now some of the lows, (or highs depending on hoe you look at it).  I walked  away from a marriage of 30 years, devastating my kids and causing a big strain in our relationship.

From that experience however I have become  a stronger, more independent person.  Things are better with the kids, I got great news this Christmas of a wonderful gift to come in 2008.

In July I found MyColts.Net.   since then I have met so many truly wonderful people who share my passion for the Colts, who make me realize it  is OK to have a Colts room, or a Colts house.  That it's ok to feel so attatched to a team that what happens to them is personal, that it affects my day.  All of you at MyColt.net make me realize that I am not strange, that how I feel is ok.  Thanks for that.  And thanks for sharing all the pics, stats, stories, surveys and good times together.

I also attended my first away Colts game this year, Thanks Clove for going with me to J'ville and San Diego, what good times we had.  Meeting the Blue Bus Guys amd ColtsfaninFlorida was great.

Gordon and Chaz running into you at the Tampa Bay game was awesome.

A special Thank You goes out to Coach Dungy.  His book, Quiet Strength helped me through the difficult time right after my divorce.  His messages to me and his kind words helped me deal with a really difficult time in my life.  Thaks Coach.

So as I look forward to what 2008 has to bring I look back and say good bye to 2007 thnking, it was a tough year but with MyColts.net I made it through.  I hope everyon has a Happy Healthy safe New Year!!   GO COLTS!!

One thing great about this website is for one its Colt’s Country here, the other is that the people are real and very friendly. Also canderson55, I Love your blogs and your “My Colts webpage.” The Colt's website has helped me learn so much more about our team. After reading what you wrote in your blog, I plan to get a copy of coach Dungy’s book "Quiet Strength." One great thing about Coach Dungy, among many positive attributes, is that he is a good man of God. On a personal note about my own blogs, I wish I could get my Blogs to link the way everybody Else’s do. When you click on my blogs name, they take you to a blank screen. So, I’m confused about what I’m doing wrong, and would like to improve that obvious mistake being made. If any seasoned blogers can give some pointers on how to make them link correctly, it would be appreciated. We’re sort of new here, and learning and also trying to make friends who share the same passion for The Colts that we have too. Your sincerely computer challenged Colts Fan-lol God Bless, Calene

Wow, great blog. This year WILL be better for you because of one thing. Your Heart. It comes through most everything you write. I know we all talk football here for the most part, but Bolts and Colts aside, I wish you the best life has to offer. You seem to be a beautiful person inside and out. Just stay strong and have faith. God Bless

First-you seem like a pretty incredible person, and I know 2008 will be a good year for you,and God-willing Peyton and company! I am a huge Jets and Colts fan,and more importantly a Patriots hater. To make matters worse,I am stuck living in Massachusetts for reasons beyond my control. I never liked the Pats having grown up in New York and being a Jets fan,but Peyton and Gang Blue grew on me fast.

as I read your blog I too was reminded of what this year had brought. My son lost his eyesight in his left eye on this day last year from being shot by a paintball. This led to many events, most to painful to talk about with end results of deep depression for me. I have always been an upbeat person and chose a higher rode to pull myself out of it. My beloved Colts has helped in more ways than a Super Bowl win. This site being one. Thank you for reminding me, sharing your thoughts and for being a part of my new family....

Great blog! I haven't been a part of this site very long but from the little time that I have been here I can tell that you are a very special person that just loves the Colts with a great deal of passion. I can totally relate to that! I hope this next year is alot better for you than the last, excluding the Superbowl part. I know you loved that. :) I know we can do again this year and I think we just might. Go Colts!!!
