Colts VS Titans, Good Bye to the Dome

Alot has already been written about the tremendous ceremony at the Dome last night.   The flashbacks of the cheerleaders, and the memorable moments, The former Mayors who made the Colts a reality were all there.  It was an electrifying experience.

The game itself was not a classic.  It was what I think most of us thought it would be.  A short spurt with the starters and then an opportunity for the backups to get reps and hopefully pull out a win.   Well we didn't win on the scoreboard, but we won in a lot of other ways.  The support for Sorgi, the chants, that was priceless.  Reggie winning the recieving yards title, again, priceless, shoot, the whole night was a Peyton Manning Master Card commercial, too many priceless moments to name.

The hit by Darrrel Ried, don't try and tell me this game didn't mean anything, I don't know if I have ever seen such a hit, (well ok by Bob Sabders several times a game, but that doesn't count, he is not human!!).

But the valyuable playing toime for the younger players is so important in case they wold be needed during the playoffs.

The RCA HD TV give aways, everything was just top shelf.  Edspecially the honoring of the 12th man.  MyColts.netters be proud, we are the 12th man.   Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

I think a few take aways form the game include that we have a strong group of non starters, I won't even call them backups becuase many of them have played so much they could start.  I think we have great depth enteeing the playoffs.  I think we are the only team of the real contenders with possibly the exception of the Jags, that is playing really good football right now.

The Pats look beatable, the Cowboys look mediocre, and Green Bay, ahh no big deal.  The Colts look sharp and have alot of depth.  The liklihood of a repeat in high as far as I can see.  I can't wait for 1 PM on Sunday January 13th.

I don't know how I will survive this next week and weekend with out Colts football.   Please send me your thoughts and suggestons on what to do so as not to go through complete withdrawal and have to be hospitalized.  The holidays are over so I won't even have that distracaion.  Pleas help me out.

Well, you should watch the rest of our division play on Saturday and Sunday. The Jags should be able to defeat the Steelers. The Titans will give the Chargers all they can handel: however, I don't believe they will win.

I heard that John Madden said that Reid hit was possibly the hardest hit he's ever seen in the NFL!!! The induction of the 12th Man into the Ring of Honor is up there in my top memories in the Dome!!!

Well, I am with you. Too long until we play! I can't imagine what the Dome was like on Sunday. I was so proud just to watch the game at home. I will watch the other playoff games closely. Might be some upsets!! But I am sure our game won't get here fast enough.

I plan on watching the Colts beat the Patsies in last year's AFC Championship game at least once; we just got "The Road to the Super Bowl", so I'll watch that one too!! My LSU Tigers play in the BCS Title Bowl on January 7....Go Tigers!!! On a less brighter side, I have 70 research papers to grade, so I'll have to do that :( I'll definitely be checking out mycolts.net to stay connected with everyone! That hit by Reid....that was amazing!!! Giordano"s hit was great too......I can't wait until January 13!!!
