Woo Hoo, we have clinched a spot in the playoffs with last night's impressive win over the Ravens. But that is just a first step in what is a much loftier goal for our beloved Colts. We all know the ultimate goal is to reapeat as Super Bowl Champions.
Last night's exhibition shows that the team is gettiing stronger and starting to play it's best football when it counts. Although still shorthanded on both offens and defense, the Colts showed they can put up points and keep the other team from doing the same. The one major flaw in this team continues to be special teams, specifically kick coverage. Could we just please stop a big return once? Special teams did have some great moments, blocking the punt for a safety, and downing a punt inside the five yard line. So I guess the good news is that if the only flaw this team has is kick coverage, we can work on it in these next three weeks.
Congratulations to Anthony Gonzales for FINALLY getting his first career touchdown. Congratulations to Peyton for throwing 4 TD passes. And although Addai didn't have that many yards, he did score three times, great job.
Now let's talk defense, how many take aways? I think I lost count. They were fierce, sacks, interceptions, big hits, WOW!!
It was great to see Sorgi get a few reps as well, hopefully we won't ever NEED to have him, but it's nice to see he can run the offense.
Now getting to the Baltimore organization and fans. I guess they are not over the Colts moving. They continue with the ridiculous practice of refusing to put "COLTS" on the scoreboard, instead putting "INDY". WHATEVER. They really need to move on, maybe then they could have a decent team of their own. You need to live in the present, not the past.
Special thanks to Gordon38 and Clove700 for making the evening fun, it's always great to get together with some MYCOLTS.NET friends.
I see these final three weeks as a time for our team to continue to get healthier and to gel into the powerful playoff team from last year. Share you thought on how you see Tnoy playing these next three weeks, will he rest the starters, bring Marvin back or play everyone?
