The dog did it!

I took my son to a friends house to hang out and play.  It's just down the street, so the dog got to come along for the ride.  I walked with Frazier up the the house, and to ask when I should come pick him up.  I   get back to the van and get this....the doors were locked, and my keys were in the ignition (Van was not running).  I didn't think anything of leaving my keys in the van while I walked up to this house.  Everything was unlocked...the doors, the slider, the tailgate...all unlocked.  But Ellie, our dog, was toooo excited.  She got all jumpy in there and hit the door button locking the whole dang thing with her inside.  Luckily dh wasn't to far away.  I only had to wait about a 1/2 hour for him to come unlock the van.  He did, and while standing there before he left to go back to work...the dog did it again!  It's a good thing it was cool outside, and the sun wasn't out, or I would have a busted out window.

SmileDon't things like this make ya smile!?

I have a Border collie thats a little over a year old, and a Hanging' tree cow dog that's about nine months. I take them with me to do chores, and they are a big help. My feeding pick up has a bale handler on it, so when I have a bale on the back, they have to ride in front. My Blue dog would lock the door on me alot, so I had to leave the window down enough that I could unlock the door, but high enough that they couldn't jump out. One day, I had the collie bring a couple bulls into a lot. Blue had his head out the window and stepped on the button. He rolled his head up in it. I had to run around to the other door and pull his foot off. It wasn't very long until he learned how to roll the window down and jump out. Dogs are way smarter than we give them credit.

My aunts dog does the same thing when she stops to get gas. She has to make sure she gets her keys before she gets out.

LOL At least you can blame the dog this time. It's a good thing he hadn't left when she did it again.
