First of all I want to say, the Colts, although not at full strength are the only team of the real contenders, AFC or NFC who are playing their best now down the strecth.  I think that bodes very well for the prospect of a repeat championshipo.  Some things that stood out in today's game were how crisp the offense was, not only the 1st teamers, but the back ups as well.   Dallas with 2 TDs look absolutely outstanding.  Reggie's TD catch was a peice of artwork.  Clifton Dawson getting his 1st career touchdown just shows the "next man up" doesn't mean just mop up time, it means go in there and produce.

 

On Defense, what more can be said about my man BOB?  He is a freak, I mean his interception, spectacular doesn't begin to descibe it, and he almost had a second int.  Keith Bullet, another next man up gets an INT.  This team is coming together and developing the depth and confidence that a championship team will need.

 

I am more confident now, despite all the injuries, than I was in September that this team CAN and WILL repeat as Super Bowl Champions.

 

The main reasons I see this happening are, 1) the maturity  level of our players.  Yes, there is a lot of youth on this team, but they are mature beyond their years.  I think that comes from playing with the likes of Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Bob Sanders and the like.

2)The coaching staff, Tony Dungy and his staff command respect from their players and give respect to their players, the players want ro work hard and win not only for themselves but for the coaching staff.

3)The depth that has developed on this team.  Because of the injuries many players have been called into action.  If they must be called upon again in the playoffs, they will be confident in their abilities to perform at a high level of seccess.

 

As I have said all along I see this team going 14-2.  The only reason I would see us losing next week would be if our starters did not play at all.  I don't think that will happen, I think we will see a game similar to today where we  dominate and then rest key starters.  As we enter into the playoffs, whoever we play, I see us coming out victoriously because this team is really coming together as the other contenders are getting injured and slowing down.  That bodes very well for the Blue.
