The Pro Bowl

Well yesterday officially put an end to the 2007 football season.  How sad, It started out so well with the Colts destroying the Saints.  It ended with Peyton looking just as sharp in the Pro Bowl.

The Pro Bowl may not be as exciting as most NFL games, but I like it becasue you can see so many of the top players playing tgether.  For instance, Peyton hurling a TD pas to Houzmanzadeh, or Jeff Garcia to TO!!Who would have thought we would ever see that combo again?

I think the Colts all did an excellent job in the Pro Bowl.  Bethea led with the most tackles, Reggie with passes, Jeff Saturday recovered a fumble and gained 2 yards!!Peyton was Peyton and Addai was Addai.

Many say they don't watch the Pro Bowl because it's not real football with the rule restrictions.  I wouldn't miss the Pro Bowl.  Seeing how relaxed the players are and how much fun they are having is fantastic.  Besides it is my last football fix for 6 months.

What are your thoughts on the Pro Bowl?  How do you feel about the proposal to  move the Pro Bowl to the week before the Super Bowl and playing it in the Super Bowl city?

Really dumb to think of changing the time or the place. Needs to remain at the end of the season, needs to remain in a special location. I love watching the pro bowl and all the interviews prior and the antics of everyone involved. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

Assuming that some of the Super Bowl Players were voted to the Pro Bowl, how would they adequately prepare for maybe the biggest game of their careers, after playing another game BEFORE the SB? Leave it in Hawaii, in February it's nice to see sun, surf and palm trees. Unless you really want to see the same lousy, gloomy weather we have to deal with already, or some indoor place, or another desert.

What is the problem with the current pro bowl format and schedule in Hawaii? Why would you want to change the location to the superbowl city, the week before this fantastic event? I agree with MartinMartin the idea is really insane and makes no sense considering the possibility of injuries to the players before the biggest game of the season!

I thought the original idea was that any players voted into the Pro Bowl who are participating in the Super Bowl would have to miss the Pro Bowl because of game prep. Frankly, I think it's a silly idea, and I'm with everyone else--leave it alone!

I agree with Colt72. Team owners/coaches wouldn't want a player on a Super Bowl team playing the week before so some of the best players in the leagues wouldn't be in the Pro Bowl. I would like to see the Pro Bowl played on the mainland where more fans would have an opportunity to attend. Maybe there should be bids for the game like they do the Super Bowl game.

I love the current format - It is awesome to see these FIERCE competitors join forces and have such a good time. Leave it alone and for those who don't like it, too bad!

I think they should leave it where it is..when it is. I enjoyed it - it was football. I also enjoyed seeing players from other teams. I think the players enjoy spending time with and getting to know players from other teams. Too bad Anderson didn't do better for the AFC.

The Hawaiian setting is perfect with the great weather and all. As far as playing the week before the Superbowl, well that's just insane. No one wants to risk injuries before the most important game of the season.
