I have slept on and reviewed yesterday's game. It was definitly not a peice of artwork, but it was a win so I'll take it. With all the defensive injuries I am not surprised at the success Justin Fargas had running against us. The fact that Bob Sanders and Gary Brackett were the only defensive starters who started in the Super Bowl brings into persective just how injured the Colts are.
The fact that Aromashadu was used at wide reciever shows how depleted the offense was. No excuses but it's amazing that the Colts continue to find ways to win with virtual unkonwns playing in key positions.
Enough about the Raidrs game, let's look forward.
Coach Dungy said today that he will treat this weekend's game against Houston as a regular game where something is at stake. He is hoping to get many of the injured players back into action. Then comes the question, what about the final regular season game against the Titans. Is is best to keep the rhythm going, or is it better to rest key players?
There are good arguments on both sides. We saw what happened back in 05 when many of the starters rested and then played poorly agains Pittsburg. We also saw how last year they were playing for something right up till the end and had no bye week and plowed through the playoffs.
On the other hand, we have a lot of injured players who could get well with rest. So what is the recipe for success? What do you think Coach Dungy will do? Share your thoughts and convince me why or why not they players should rest or play. Also who do you NOT want to see in the firts playoof game? Jacksonville, San Diego, Pittsburg? Someone else scare you, maybe the Browns?
