HAPPY MONDAY!
Yesterday was the first COLTS game in the new Lucas Oil Stadium. The pregame was great. Seeing the excitement on the faces of the fans was way cool! I wish we were there!! Watching it on tv was still good. It was fun seeing them interview Marshall Faulk. He seemed in awe of Lucas Oil Stadium. There was a moment of silence for the memory of Gene Upshaw who passed away this past week. We also learned that we the fans saw the stadium before most of the players. That's kind of cool.
Buffalo got the ball first, and ended up punting. Then the COLTS offense came out. Much to everyone's surprise Jim Sorgi didn't start. It was the leftie #13 Lorenzen. It looks like Jim Sorgi had a bum knee when he got off the bus. Peyton just watched from the sidelines. The COLTS went 3 and out. On the Bills next possesion they get 3. BUMMER...the COLTS weren't the first to score in Lucas Oil Stadium. Wait til the regular season!
In the first half Marvin caught one, and my guy Darrell Reid had a BIG hit. At half time it was 17 to 0 in favor of Buffalo. In the second half backup backup QB Quinn Gray threw a 94 yard td pass! It was a beautiful thing. ...and one of very few last night. Jeff Saturday got banged up. #10 Courtney Roby had a 66 yard punt return.
I'm sooooooo looking forward to the regular season. GO COLTS!
What are your thoughts on the opening game at Lucas Oil???
