My faith is very important to me, it is without question the most important thing in my life. I have had an experience on the forum that attacks the very faith which I hold dear. The attacks are by a group of Pat Trolls who work together to make a mockery of everything associated with the Colts and the values that I believe Colts fans hold: faith, family and high moral character.
I am convinced that they sit together in some Boston bar, laptops open and make fun of us, try to find new and creative ways to disrupt our board, and mock the values we hold. If you don't use the forum allow me to introduce our fine crop of Pat Trolls: ColtFanInTexas, PopWarnerPlayer, Jack Daniels, DeltaLady and PeaceAndLove are but the newest crop. We just got rid of PatsR, WhyPeytonWhy and othes too numerous to mention. The are all creations of our long term trolls: Bo, ManningBeing Manning (MBM) and WTE. They are mostly just a pain in th rear, but when they attack areas of faith, they cross a line with me.
Let me share how low they have sunk: The trolls have made numerous remarks insulting the faith and beliefs or our beloved coach, Tony Dungy. Now they have moved on to make mock of the Christian faith in general. Troll PWP acts like a 13 year old boy and says ...I know we will win because we have Coach Dungy on our side and that means we have God on our side so we will win. A clear example of poking fun.
In one of todays's posts (favorite players) ColtFanInTexas said his favorite player was so an so from Texas Christian because he was a Christian. Now this is from a troll, so you know not one word was sincere and he was using it to make fun of Colts fans who hold traditional faith values.
Because the trolls have been such a problem many regular posters have decided to ignore some of their posts so as to NOT encourage them. Since I have kind of promised to try to ignore them I knew I would not post on the public forum, but felt strongly enough so that I knew I could not let it go without addressing the issue. My next thought was to contact ColtFanInTexas by private message to let him know I did not appreciate him mocking Christianity and people who practice that faith, AND ask him to stop doing so. Well the surprise was on me, because he had me blocked so I could not leave him a message or a comment on his profile page.
So here we are....he can say anything he wants, mock my faith, the faith of many other Colts fans and unless I want to make a scene on the public forum and confront him there, I just have to accept what he says and let it go. So do I let it go..do I leave the forum, either way it seems to me that he has accomplished what he has set out to do - ruin something I enjoyed alot and made mock of something that means more to me than anything else, and is the basis of every decision I make in my liife.
This Pat troll whoever he is can mock and belittle and he is not man enough to have it out with me by allowing me to share with him what I think of his actions. Coward and bully are two names that come to mind.
But then..what would you expect of a fan that chooses to a associate themselves with a team like the N.E. Patriots?
